Megan Schroeder, PHd of College Station, TX, Laura Schroeder Carter (Oliver) of Louisville, KY. Travis Holloway (Kate)of San Antonio, TX, Wesley Holloway of Houston, TX, nieces Dr. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 25 years Kathleen Ballard Murray children Patrick Quinlan, Katherine Isabel, William “Will” Matthew Murray his mother Marguerite Quinlan Murray of Louisville siblings Trish Hacker (Eric)of Apison, Tn., Kathy Schroeder (Rod) of Louisville, KY, Judy Holloway of Houston, TX parents-in-law Matthew and Mary Margaret Ballard of Louisville, KY Nephews Dr. Mike was preceded in death by his father, William Sydney Murray. He lived with a tremendous sense of Gratitude and he demonstrated this to every soul he met. Mike was a devoted friend and has friends spanning the country. Mike loved music, travel, the beach, hiking and his greatest legacy his family. He was a consultant to elementary, middle and high school students for junior achievement and a high school debate judge. Mike was generous sharing his home with friends and spearheading fundraising for many charities. He was respected and adored by his work family and he was blessed to love his job and everyone he worked with. Mike approached all endeavors with passion and commitment. Mike and his family moved to California 3 years ago and began an exciting position as the Senior Vice President and Chief General Council for Ready Pac Foods. He then progressed to Tempur-Sealy International, Inc., through their acquisition where he served as their Senior Vice President and General Counsel. as their Senior Attorney and then with Sealy Corp as their Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Mike began his career as in-house counsel in corporations first at Aeroquip-Vickers, Inc. He then attended Indiana University Law School graduating magna cum laude/order of the coif and began his successful career as a lawyer with Brown Todd and Heyburn in Louisville, KY. Mike attended West Bloomfield HS, and Michigan State graduating with a degree in business. In his childhood, he moved to Rochester, NY, Houston, TX and then settled in West Bloomfield MI. to Marguerite Quinlan Murray and the late William Sydney Murray.
